Toroidal Transformers Applications

DC to DC Power Supplies

AC to DC Power Supplies
CET Technology provides toroidal transformers with practically any voltage and power rating. The shape of this transformer is what defines it. It uses a closed loop permeable core. There is no gap other than perhaps a distributed gap throughout the core material. It is wound such that very nearly all of the magnetic flux stays within the core which greatly reduces interference with other nearby devices. This also means higher efficiencies than typical EI transformers. Larger toroid transformer typically have flying leads to interface with the windings while smaller ones can be base mounted with pins.
What are Toroidal Transformers?
Toroidal transformers are used for electronic devices requiring lower power, such as computers, televisions and audio systems. It has a round shape has a ferromagnetic base, with wires wound around the outside of the base. They are often small than your typical transformer.

What are Toroidal Transformers and How do They Work?
CET Technology designed a unique toroidal transformer to meet client’s pinout specification. Typical toroidal transformers might have a total of four connections, two for the input and two for the output. The customer had a need for a total of 18 connections at...
